Ingredients
2 cups white sugar
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup milk
3 tbsp cocoa powder
3 cups quick-cooking oats
1 tsp vanilla extract

Baking Tip: Do not start your 1-minute timer when small bubbles first appear around the edges. Wait until the entire surface of the liquid is violently bubbling and churning—this is a rolling boil. The second the middle of the pot is fully boiling, start your timer for exactly 60 seconds, stir constantly, and pull it off the heat the moment the timer hits zero.
Instructions
Step 1.
In a saucepan, mix together the sugar, butter (or margarine), and milk. Bring the mixture to a boil and let it boil for exactly one minute, stirring constantly.
Step 2.
Remove the pan from the heat. Stir in the cocoa powder, quick oats, and vanilla extract until well combined.
Step 3.
Drop the mixture by spoonfuls onto waxed paper. Let them cool and firm up before serving.
