Baking Tip: Always bring your cream cheese, butter, and egg to room temperature before mixing the cheesecake layer. If the cream cheese is too cold, it will form tiny, stubborn lumps that refuse to smooth out, leaving you with a grainy texture instead of a velvety, gourmet finish.
Instructions
Step 1.
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan well to ensure the bars release easily later.
Step 2.
Prepare the brownie mix according to the directions on the package. Spread the batter evenly into the bottom of your prepared baking pan.
Step 3.
In a medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, butter, and cornstarch until light and fluffy. Gradually beat in the sweetened condensed milk, egg, and vanilla extract until the mixture is completely smooth.
Step 4.
Pour the cream cheese mixture evenly over the unbaked brownie batter. Bake for 45 minutes, or until the top is lightly browned.
Step 5.
Allow the pan to cool completely. Once cooled, spread the prepared chocolate frosting evenly over the top, cut into bars, and store covered in the refrigerator.
